It is such a wonderful thing when you get to participate in watching a child grow up. I have had the fortunate experience of photographing the babies in this family for years! So cute! Thank you Taylor and baby Zach for coming out to play once again!
Sometimes I am so very lucky to find a great group of people to work with! Anisa and her daughter, Lana came to my studio as the models for my workshop. Anisa is an exceptionally talented dancer who is co-founder of Hit and Run Dance Productions. Her wonderful daughter is a true beauty who loves the camera! Just look at those big smiling eyes! I completed this image for an upcoming contest — the contest was for images with the Theme “Light at Play”. Sometimes I just don’t take things the way they are meant to be taken. Enjoying the fun, I twisted up some wire, added a fish (yes the fish was really put in the lightbulb!) and used an old photo of a beach scene that I had taken to create this image. Minimal photoshop was done as this was not a composite. Enjoy!

In January I had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful toddler and her mom and dad. What an amazing family – so fun and gentle.

And finally, just for fun — I put in my camera. She loved hitting the button to make the studio strobes go off. Sometimes it helps to get them involved even as young as 14 months old!
